Speakers

Esthèle Goure is a Business Development Manager at Bio Base Europe (BBEU) Pilot Plant, helping customers implement their scale-up initiatives. She holds an MSc in Biotechnology from Polytech Marseille and another MSc in Business Administration from Kedge Business School in France. She has experience in the Belgian biopharmaceutical industry, focusing on investment projects linked to process development, scale-up, and commercialization. When joining BBEPP, her expertise extended to orchestrating EU project proposals and supporting numerous EU-funded endeavors in the bio-based economy and industrial biotechnology sectors. Since then, she has been involved in public and private projects and is coordinating the new BBEPP mentoring service for start-ups named the SAN program. In this webinar, Esthèle will present a successful piloting case study and the fermentation capabilities at BBEU.

Rajesh Koppolu is a Senior Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. He has successfully developed upscaling paths for a range of coating and membrane technologies, ensuring that innovative, renewable-resource-based products are brought from the lab to the market. Rajesh holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Åbo Akademi and has 10+ years of outstanding track record in materials science R&D and technology upscaling with over 20 scientific articles and 6 patents. Furthermore, he is involved in a VTT-spinoff company, HYGRON. In this webinar, Rajesh will share his insights on real case examples on scaling research from lab to pilot scale and beyond.
