FinnCERES welcomes Mikko P. Mäkelä to VTT as the new Research Professor in Smart Biomass Processing. In his post, Mäkelä supports VTT research through experimental design and mathematical data analysis and initiates new research by developing imaging and machine vision applications for handling biomass and textiles.

Mäkelä was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, and you can read an upcoming paper from Resources, Conservation and Recycling journal, which is open access.
