Versatility of nanocellulose: Biodegradable solutions for water filtration

In FinnCERES, our researchers explore the properties of using nanocellulose and its ability to bind and retain water, making it an optimal bio-based material to capture and remove microplastics and nanoplastics from water.


Part of a long-term study of the colloidal material, the natural properties of nanocellulose can be exploited in multiple application areas. Now at a more advanced stage, we welcome collaboration industrial and academic partners.
